Hello, my name is Amanda Brown and I love to sew. In fact, I've always loved to sew. Raised by an artistic family, I've enjoyed craft and making things from a very young age.
I started out my sewing career doing two weeks' work experience at a clothing alteration shop owned by a wonderful lady called Araxi. I was lucky enough to spend the next 13 years there (Always so known as, 'The University of Life'!). I then branched out on my own, becoming a self-employed seamstress for a number of years with lots of loyal clients.
Nevertheless, new creative adventures were on their way and Cotton onto Sewing was born in November 2013. I quickly realised I'd found my calling: sharing my knowledge, love and passion of needlework to others.
Over the years I have taught many different sewing and craft classes to a whole host of students with varying abilities. I pride myself on offering a friendly and welcoming classroom environment (with plenty of tea and biscuits!). Whether you're looking to get to know your sewing machine, make your own clothes or to simply escape busy daily life for a bit of 'you' time, my Cotton onto Sewing classes are here to help.
Looking forward to seeing you soon
Regards Amanda
